Perfect game tops series win
Perfect game tops series win

Last year at this time, the Lady Tigers were battling the elements and a good-hitting Glenn nine. Torrential-type rains caused the series to be played over five days with DS falling short in moving on. This year it would be a night and day comparison. With practically the same lineup returning, the Lady Tigers were ready to take on Georgetown East View. No repeat as Dripping Springs opened with an 8-2 victory and closed it out with a perfect 4-0 game.

Aqua Blue Pots on a Hill: The ‘Peace de Resistance’

Aqua Blue Pots in the landscape and staggered on the side of a hill, was not my idea, but my bride, the person who pops up on my phone as Jan My Love Winter. This is the color I have avoided like the plague for most of my life. To modify the French phrase this project was going to be my ‘Peace’ de Resistance. The Lady Tigers played it close to the vest as they clinched first place in district. The Lady Tigers scored four in the first to solidify their 7-0 victory over Lehman. They would also open with four in the game with Seguin. However, the Lady Matadors did not let them off the hook that easily. They would go ahead 6-5 in the third with a five-spot. The game was tied at 7-7 in the fourth and the Lady Tigers pushed across the winning run in the sixth. The final district game was with Kerrville. A 5-1 win that avenged an earlier loss. Three walks, three hits gave DS the three runs they needed in the third to support H. Anderson's complete game.
