April has been declared Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month in Dripping Springs.

The state of Texas will hold an election on two propositions to change the state’s constitution. Election day will be May 7. Early voting begins April 25 at the Dripping Springs City Hall. Election Day voting will be at city hall or Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs.

Early voting began Monday for local elections and two proposed constitutional amendments relating to property tax reductions. Early voting continues through Tuesday, May 3, with election day on Saturday, May 7.

I’ll admit, I had to look up Ukraine to find it on the map when this needless war began. I knew little about the customs, the religion, the ethnicities of Ukraine — and really, in the final analysis, none of that really mattered.

After three months in its new brick-and-mortar location, Fortis Therapy Center celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting, sponsored by the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce.

The Dripping Springs High School list of “Top 10” students by academic rank for the Class of 2022 has been announced by Principal Angela Gamez. The top-ranked senior and valedictorian for the Class of 2022 is Karsten Bobb, and the secondranked student and salutatorian is Sophia Fisher. All 10 students carried an overall weighted grade point average of 109 or higher.
