Dripping Springs is in a good position to finish strong and earn a place in the playoffs. They are holding onto third place with only two games remaining. They have been making the most of the hits they get. They got a measure of revenge defeating Alamo Heights 6-1, then took out Veterans Memorial 9-2 before outlasting Lehman 11-7. They finish district play Friday hosting Kerrville.

For maybe the first time this year Brandon Arvidson got past his opponent without damage in the first inning as he downed Alamo Heights 1-2-3. However, the second inning was touch and go as he got out of a bases-loaded situation with only one run and that would be it for the Mules. Not for the Tigers. They parlayed their eight hits into tworun innings in the first, second and fourth for the win.

The Tigers are hanging in and trying to get all wins as they come to the end of the regular season. They played Veterans Memorial. Both teams scored a run in the first but then the Tigers warmed up with three more in the third. The big inning was the fourth when Nico Ruedas had a 2-run homer and Mason Ashlock added a 2 rbi double.

Bats get excited each time the Tigers play Lehman. Last time it was 20-12 and the final one ended up with another victory. DS opened with three in the first. Matthew Schindler had the big blow in the 6-run fourth with a bases-loaded triple. Taylor Tracey contributed a two-run triple in the fifth. Lehman scored three in the fourth and prolonged the game with four in the seventh.
