Austin Pets Alive! has presented the Pet Resource Center community survey results, which totaled 1,079 responses in both English and Spanish. The results were shared at the Dec.18 Comissioner’s Court meeting as a part of the ongoing planning process for the Hays County Pet Resource Center.

A new resort and spa may be coming to northern Dripping Springs, joining other large, planned developments in the area.

On Friday, Dec. 8, the Dripping Springs community gathered at the Joseph and Sarah Pound House site to celebrate the grand reopening of the House and in recognition of the Pound House Farmstead and Museum’s 20-year anniversary. The celebration marked the museum’s official reopening after being closed for three years due to COVID- 19 and needed restorations.

Large parts of Central Texas experienced significant ice accumulation — leading to multiple governmental agencies making disaster declarations — after Winter Storm Mara blew through the Hill Country early this year.

Earlier this year, Dripping Springs experienced the first of two eclipses over the next nine months: an annular solar eclipse on Oct. 14 of this year. It will be followed by a total solar eclipse in 2024 on April 8.
