Guide offers info on local healthcare, housing, and food assistance

Hays County residents seeking assistance with healthcare, housing, food, and mental health services can now find help through the Hays County Resource Guide.

The Hays County Health Department recently released the 2024 Hays County Resource Guide, a comprehensive directory aimed at helping community partners, organizations, and residents easily access essential services.

The guide provides information on a variety of resources specific to Hays County, including healthcare, housing, food assistance, mental health services, and more.

The 2024 Hays County Resource Guide is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to connect the community with critical services. It is available online at hayscountytx.gov/ resource-directory.

The guide will be updated quarterly to ensure accurate and current information. Paper copies are available at the health department.

“This resource guide reflects our commitment to ensuring every resident can navigate available resources, fostering a stronger, more connected community,” said Peyton Wagner, Hays County Health Department behavioral health coordinator. “Empowering communities begins with access to information.”

“The guide fills a crucial need, providing a comprehensive, accessible tool for all county residents to find the help they need and deserve,” said Matthew Gonzales, Hays County Health Department manager.

Gonzales encourages users to provide feedback to improve the guide. Suggestions for new resources, updates to existing listings, or feedback on the guide’s format and usability are welcome. Visit hayscountytx. gov/resource-directory or contact Peyton Wagner at Peyton. Wagner@hayscountytx. gov with suggestions.
