Dripping Springs awards Dark Sky-compliant businesses

The Dripping Springs Community Foundation, a community resource for the generation of monetary funds for area nonprofits, announced the addition of Jorge Babot to its board of directors.

The Dripping Springs High School girls’ basketball team opened their district play with the Austin High School Lady Maroons, one of the top teams in the area.

The Dripping Springs Middle School Lady Tigers basketball teams opened their season on a high note as they took all four games with Lake Travis Middle School. The eighth grade A team took charge 29-12, while the B team won 17-7; the seventh grade A team won 25-8, while the seventh grade B team eked by with 20-18.

The football game between the Dripping Springs High School Tigers and the Vandegrift High School Vipers started the season with a match-up full of suspense — one which was ultimately decided by a field goal as time expired. So, the rematch between the Tigers and Vipers was a much anticipated quarterfinal game in the playoffs.
