The 76th Hays County Youth Livestock Show came and went last week, with children from eight to 18 showing their swine, cattle, goats, lambs, poultry, rabbits and horses at the event.

The creative work of 25 Dripping Springs Independent School District students has been honored by the DSISD Council of PTAs in the 2021–2022 National PTA Reflections program. Thirteen of those students earned the level of Outstanding Interpretation to advance to the Texas Parent-Teacher Association State Contest.

The city of Dripping Springs has requested an amendment to its Texas Land Application Permit with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality that, if approved, would increase its wastewater capacity by 110,000 gallons per day.

After an unsuccessful effort to solicit an outside firm to manage the Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program, the Hays County Commissioners Court voted to handle the program inhouse by hiring a program manager and several staff members.
