The creative work of 25 Dripping Springs Independent School District students has been honored by the DSISD Council of PTAs in the 2021–2022 National PTA Reflections program. Thirteen of those students earned the level of Outstanding Interpretation to advance to the Texas Parent-Teacher Association State Contest.

While Secretary of State John Scott publicly assured Texas voters that “every single eligible Texas voter will be able to register to vote if they have not done so already,” the League of Women Voters on Friday threatened to sue his office if the nonpartisan group isn’t provided with additional voter registration forms.

Six months ago, The Garden Guy prognosticated that Augusta Lavender heliotrope was going to one of the hottest plants for 2022. This was really based on my trials at my house outside of Columbus, GA.

VFW Post 2933 held an award ceremony last week. Jesus Gonzalez-Albejar and Collin Heape were awarded first and second place respectively in the annual Voice of Democracy essay contest. Each received a certificate and a cash award for their winning submission. Presenting the awards were VFW Post 2933 Commander Jerry Martin and VFW Post 2933 Senior Vice Commander (SVC) Bob DeJong. Bob DeJong is also the chairman for the Voice of Democracy contest.

Athletes in Dripping Springs are often honored with accolades like All-District. On occasion, someone will reach the heights of All-State. Adam Knutson just took that to an entirely different level.

The city of Dripping Springs has requested an amendment to its Texas Land Application Permit with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality that, if approved, would increase its wastewater capacity by 110,000 gallons per day.
