December 20–23 Driftwood Lights Holiday Music Series

The Cottage, the memory care neighborhood at Alexis Pointe Senior Living, recently celebrated what they call a “Miracle Moment” — one that brought joy and nostalgia to resident Tom Jenkins, a University of Texas Alumni.

The Hays County Brown Santa program is an annual drive for raising money, food and toys to assist families in need in Hays County.

The Hays County Commissioners court honored a family that was pivotal in the development of Dripping Springs and provided so many valuable resources to the town by opening their property to it. The court proclaimed Dec. 8, 2023 as the Pound House Farmstead Day.

The Hays County Mental Health Court hosted the first commencement in celebration of those graduating from the Court program. The event was held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 11 in the County Court of Law, Courtroom Three. Those in attendance included the family and friends of the program participants.

At its November meeting, DS VFW Post 2933 presented its Teacher of the Year Award to DSHS history teacher Angela Tennison, as well as awards to student winners of the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen essay contest winners.
