The November Constitutional Amendment election led to changes in property taxes that had delayed tax statements for the year, according to the Hays County Tax Assessor-Collector Jenifer O’Kane. The property tax statements are now available to view online at tax. co.hays.tx.us and will become delinquent on Feb. 1, if not paid.

On Friday, Dec. 8, the Dripping Springs community gathered at the Joseph and Sarah Pound House site to celebrate the grand reopening of the House and in recognition of the Pound House Farmstead and Museum’s 20-year anniversary. The celebration marked the museum’s official reopening after being closed for three years due to COVID- 19 and needed restorations.

Earlier this year, Dripping Springs experienced the first of two eclipses over the next nine months: an annular solar eclipse on Oct. 14 of this year. It will be followed by a total solar eclipse in 2024 on April 8.
