Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival

September 24 – October 31, 2022

Following a successful inaugural year, the Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival will return to the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead, a Texas State Historical Landmark, this year.

The annual festival will run from Sept. 24 to Oct. 31, with its official grand opening weekend on Sept. 24 and 25. Originally settled in 1854, the farmstead is nestled on five beautifully shaded, oak-filled acres, making it the perfect setting for the family-friendly, kidfocused event. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will benefit the Friends of the Pound House Foundation.

This year’s fest features live music presented by 100.1 Sun Radio, a courtyard marketplace, a selection of seasonal foods and beverages and unique photo opportunities. The festival will have something for all ages, including cornhole, giant Jenga, horseshoes, bowling, potato sack races, spikeball and tug of war. Additional attractions include barrel rides, an exotic petting zoo, pony rides, balloon art, caricatures, face painting, henna art and — of course — a pumpkin patch.

Throughout the month, the festival will also host special events and activities, such as Mitotiliztli Yaoyollohtli (Ancient Aztec Ceremonial Dancing) on Saturday, Oct. 8 and an American Indian Powwow on Sunday, Oct. 9 — both in recognition of Indigenous Peoples Day.

The festival will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. but is closed on Tuesdays for pumpkin deliveries. More information can be found at drippingspringspumpkinfestival.com.
