Dripping Springs United Methodist Church has announced the date for its 33rd annual Wild Game Dinner, presented by VOLVO Cars of Austin and Elliott Electric Supply.
Featuring a spread of smoked brisket, venison, sausage, turkey and fixings, the dinner will be held Saturday, Feb.18, from 6–9 p.m. at the Dripping Springs Ranch Park and Event Center, 1042 Event Center Drive. A dessert bar will also be available.
The event, a fundraiser for various Dripping Springs and Hays County charities, will have a raffle and both live and silent auctions.
“In 1991, a group of men came together and decided that they could combine their love of God, family, friends and cooking to bring people together to make the Dripping Springs area a better place,” DSUMC’s website states. “Our community has embraced this idea and, through countless generous donations, we have distributed nearly $1 million to some incredible groups right here in our very own community. Thank you for your continued support of the Dripping Springs Wild Game Dinner. With your help, we are able to support some very worthy charities in this area.”
Listed beneficiaries include Dripping Springs Christian Academy, Heading Home, Helping Hands, Hometown Missions, Home in a Week, Rescue One More, American Heritage Girls, Stillwater Camps, Wounded Warriors, Burke Center for Youth, Kairos Prison Ministry and Boy Scouts.
Due to staffing shortages, there will be no Kid’s Zone this year.
