The Dripping Springs High School CX Debate team captured the District 26-5A title for the second consecutive year.
DSHS defeated Kerrville Tivy, Johnson and Boerne Champion High Schools for the district crown on Tuesday, Jan. 25. Senior Katherine Mihaly and junior Johnny Martinez placed first to advance to the UIL State Tournament. Mihaly will make her second appearance at the state competition after finishing as state runner up with teammate Jackson Kaiser in 2021.
The team of senior Eli Craddock and sophomore Zoe Costanza placed third at the district meet, and sophomore Jackson Berthelsen and freshman Claire Bynum finished fourth.
The UIL CX Debate State Tournament will be held Mar. 18-19 at the University of Texas at Austin.
