Last year New Braunfels Canyon and Boerne Champion provided the Dripping Springs soccer teams their best tests in district play. All the more reason to be a little nervous entering those contests. After the smoke had cleared there was little reason to worry this time around. Both state-ranked teams took care of business in a big way.
The Lady Tigers, the state's No. 1 ranked 5A school, helped move the school's consecutive win streak needle to 26 with the wins over Canyon and Boerne Champion and also kept them unscathed on the season and district play. Against Canyon they scored three goals in the first half and then cruised to a 5-0 victory. Boerne Champion did provide the competition expected but you can't win if you don't score. DS notched a goal in each half to win 2-0.
