Applications are being accepted for students to receive free or reducedprice meals through Dripping Springs ISD during the 2022–2023 school year.

Applications are being accepted for students to receive free or reducedprice meals through Dripping Springs ISD during the 2022–2023 school year.

DSISD offers two meals each school day throughout the academic year. Breakfast costs $1.75 in elementary school, $1.85 in middle school and $2.00 in high school; lunch costs $3.30, $3.50 and $4.25, respectively. Reducedprice meals cost $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch at all campuses.

The following criteria will be used to determine a child's eligibility for free or reduced-price meal benefits (must meet at least one of the following): – household income that is at or below the income eligibility levels – household receives Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservation – child's status as a foster child, homeless, runaway, migrant, or displaced by a declared disaster – child's enrollment in Head Start or Even Start Children in households participating in WIC may be eligible for free or reduced-price meals.

For those households that qualify for free or reduced- price meals based on income, an adult in the household must fill out the free and reducedprice meal application. The application link can be found online at dsisdtx. us/Page/472.

Paper copies are also available at the DSISD administration building and at all campuses. In addition, you can print copies from the website (also attached) in both English and Spanish.

If a family and/or student qualifies through one of the other categories listed above, DSISD will notify your household and you do not need to complete an application.

Applications may be submitted anytime during the school year. Contact Danette Contreras for questions about the online application at (512) 858-3057 or at danette.contreras@dsisdtx. us. If you have other questions about the free or reduced-price program — or need help — call Nanci Freeborg at (512) 858-3048.
