Chicken Express celebrates new owner, decade of service

After introducing a new franchise owner and marking nearly a decade of serving up chicken and fish to Dripping Springs residents, Chicken Express is celebrating its recommitment to the local Hill Country community.

After introducing a new franchise owner and marking nearly a decade of serving up chicken and fish to Dripping Springs residents, Chicken Express is celebrating its recommitment to the local Hill Country community.

The restaurant hosted a Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting on Thursday, Aug. 4, with owner Marcus Moreno in attendance.

“We are honored by the amount of support we have received over the years here in Dripping Springs,” said Moreno. “And we are dedicated to giving back to the community through donations and fundraising events for schools, local organizations and nonprofit groups.”

Chicken Express of Dripping Springs also offers a 10% discount to first responders, military members — past and present — and those who work in construction.

“We love to recognize heroes in our community,” said Moreno. “Especially those who are sometimes unsung.”

After listening to local reviews and suggestions for improvement, the management team has dedicated itself to elevating its level of customer service and food service processes by implementing better customer communication and online ordering through third-party delivery apps.

“Our guests often think of us as a fast food option,” said Moreno. “However, our mission is to deliver fresh, cookedto- order meals in a timely manner. That said, we understand that sometimes families don’t want to wait 15 minutes for their dinner. That’s why we’re now taking phone-in orders and partnering with delivery services such as Uber Eats and DoorDash.”

Other changes include seasonal pricing specials and extended hours for hometown high school games. Locals are encouraged to be on the lookout for a Tigerthemed dining room as well.
