I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (2018) — with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts — opens on The Wimberley Players stage July 15.

This hilarious celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind 'the relationship.' It explores dating and waiting and love and marriage, as well as the agonies of in-laws, newborns and trips in the family car. The original version of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is the second longest-running off-Broadway musical with over 5,000 performances. New songs, revised lyrics, and dialogue throughout the show reflect relationships today.

The energetic cast all play multiple roles, including Ronald Lessane, recently seen in the WP production of Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol. Meanwhile, Kelly Poehls, Rebecca Woods and Kristin Hardin will all make their debut on The Wimberley Players stage. Rebecca Marquardt, who is also new to WP, was most recently seen in the national tour of Odd Squad LIVE!

Director Milton Zoth leads the creative team including Scenic Designer Carroll Dolezal, Lighting Designer Hannah Corbett, Sound Designer Dylan Byrnes, Costume Designer Bridget Farias-Gates and Hair and Makeup Designer Bridget Cook. I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.

The musical will run for four weekends from July 15 to August 7. Performances will run on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

Individual reserved seating is $30; Student tickets are $20 with ID. Live, online streaming prices begin at $30 with Broadway on Demand. All tickets are available at WimberleyPlayers.org or by phone: (512) 847-0575.

The Wimberley Players is located at 450 Old Kyle Road in Wimberley.
