The Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees has approved the hire of two new elementary principals.
Cody Spraberry and Maureen Jamail will join DSISD for the 2022– 2023 school year as the principals of Sycamore Springs Elementary and Walnut Springs Elementary, respectively.
Spraberry comes to DSISD from Eanes ISD, where he served as the principal of Forest Trail Elementary since 2016. A resident of Dripping Springs, he brings almost 20 years of professional experience to the district. Spraberry holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Hardin Simmons University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from The University of Texas at Arlington.
He is married and has two children who attend elementary school in DSISD.
Jamail comes to lead Walnut Springs Elementary following successful stints as the assistant principal of Walnut Springs Elementary and of Dripping Springs High School. She has over 18 years of professional teaching and administra tive experience, including 16 years with DSISD. Jamail holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s of Education degree from Lamar University.
She is married and has two grown children, graduates of Dripping Springs High School.
