Early voting has started in bond, trustee election

Early voting has started for the May 3 election, which is open to registered voters who live within the Dripping Springs ISD boundaries. Participants will be able to vote on candidates for the DSISD board trustees and on the DSISD bond package.

Three candidates are running for the two open positions on the Board of Trustees.

Olivia Barnard has been serving as a trustee since June 2022. Her background is in construction and real estate, and she is campaigning on her knowledge of legislative finance frameworks and local finance.

Tricia Quintanilla has also been serving as a trustee since 2022. Prior to that, she served on the Special Education Parent Committee. She is campaigning as a parent of four kids in the district, and as someone invested in the district’s success.

Ron Jones has served on the Dripping Springs Education Foundation Board for eight years. He has a degree in Business Administration, and has worked in education technology. He is campaigning on a promise to advocate for all students and provide monetary oversight and planning for growth.

The DSISD bond package includes a focus on construction of the district’s second comprehensive high school, as well as capital improvements and renovations for current campuses. Information on proposed projects, district and area growth and tax impact can be found at www.dsisdtx. us/2025bond.

Early voting is being held at two locations in Dripping Springs: Dripping Springs ISD Center For Learning and Leadership, 300 Sportsplex Dr., and Patriots Hall of Dripping Springs, 3400 East US 290. Voting hours are as follows: April 22-25: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

April 26: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

April 28-29: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
