PEC accepting board director nominations for 2025 election

Nomination petitions and applications are now open for Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) members seeking to serve their communities on the PEC Board of Directors in Districts 4 and 5. PEC has seven board directors who each serve three-year terms. Those who are interested can find petition forms and additional application information on the website.

Materials include qualification requirements, detailed instructions, an application, maps of PEC board districts, and forms for submitting background information and member signatures. PEC members seeking nomination for PEC director positions must: Maintain a primary residence in the PEC board district in which they seek election and receive continuous electric service for at least one year. See Article III, Section 2 of the PEC bylaws for complete qualifications.

Obtain original, verifiable signatures on the form provided by PEC from 50 PEC members who live within the nominee’s voting district or have a designated voting membership within that district.

Complete petition materials and turn them in by no later than March 24 at 5 p.m. All materials must be physically received by, or handdelivered to, the Election Team at PEC Headquarters, 201 S. Avenue F, Johnson City, Texas 78636.

A review committee comprised of PEC members will verify nominees’ qualifications. After petition signatures and qualifications are verified, PEC will announce the director candidates. Interested members may also request nomination materials by calling 830-868-4967.
