Dripping Springs Education Foundation’s ‘Heart of a Tiger’ gala raises $211,000 to support DSISD students and teachers

The Dripping Springs community showed its true spirit at the Dripping Springs Education Foundation’s (DSEF) annual Heart of a Tiger Gala on Feb. 13. The event, held at Canyonwood Ridge, raised $211,000, all of which will directly support innovative teaching grants, student leadership programs, mental health initiatives, and campus and classroom resources for Dripping Springs ISD (DSISD).

Every element of the evening - from the décor to the live music and the featured speaker - was brought to life by individuals with deep ties to DSISD. Alumni, former students, new community members, and longtime supporters all came together to create a night that truly showcased the heart, pride, and unity of Dripping Springs.

Chad Hudson, a DSISD graduate, was the evening’s keynote speaker. His message reminded attendees that among the many roles they hold, one that unites everyone in the room is being a Tiger.
