Lady Tigers soccer had a busy week

It did not take long for the Lady Tigers soccer team to hit the ground playing despite some horrible weather conditions. Their first action was in the Georgetown Governor's Cup Elite Showcase. The first day was played in solid rain all day and despite it all, they played Bridgeland to a 0-0 tie. The Lady Tigers controlled the game but it was almost impossible to score.

On a much better weather day, they played a very spirited game with Georgetown to a 2-2 tie. Carson Thompson scored the first goal with an assist by Bailey Stephenson. The final goal was scored by Alysia Creekmore on an unassisted banger.

The first win of the season came on a 3-1 victory over McKinney Boyd. It was the best total game played so far. The better weather motivated the team. Thompson scored an early goal with an assist from Shea Sisson. Boyd tied it up. Stephenson scored the second goal and the final was produced by Emerson Barefoot with an assist by Lily Ruff. Rachel Darilek was named the tourney MVP.

In a regular game, DS shutout Leander 5-0. Stephenson had a penalty kick goal, followed by Barefoot and Stephenson assisted by Barefoot to make it 3-0 at half. In the second half Ella Castillo and Addie Novosad scored with an assist by Castillo.
