Mavericks no match for the Tigers

The Dripping Springs Tigers welcomed the Round Rock McNeil Mavericks to their gym and then treated them rudely with a 55-38 win. McNeil had some basic talent but lacked the ability to score. They outdid the Tigers on the boards and loose balls but the name of the game is who scores the most. They worked the ball in the paint and other percentage shots but seldom did it find its mark.

On the other hand, the Tigers were finding the range all night. They came out firing with an immediate 8-0 lead and finished 18-4 after one. The second quarter was a little closer but the big lead held as the half ended 30-14. It was 44-26 after three. Scoring for the Tigers was: Judson Loe 18, Stone Patterson 11, Rushton Budge 10, Brayden Spencer 6, Brady Coleman 3, Isaac Terry 3, Brandon Froidcoeur 2, Will Gardiner 2.

The Tigers entered the Austin High Shoes For Two tourney and finished 2-3. Cedar Creek 80-45; RR Westwood 4151; Chaparrals 54-44; Harker Heights 30-52; San Marcos 33-47.
