High Basin Brands, a new premium spirits company based in Dripping Springs, has announced its official launch alongside the acquisition of Treaty Oak Brewing and Distilling, one of Texas' oldest and most celebrated distilleries. Treaty Oak, known for its award-winning whiskeys and expansive 25-acre distillery in Dripping Springs, is set to undergo an organic transformation under its new ownership.

“Acquiring Treaty Oak is a transformative step in expanding our portfolio and leading the industry toward more conscious consumption,” said Jordan Rothschild-Noomé, Chief Marketing Officer of High Basin Brands. “With so few certified organic whiskey options currently available, we’re excited to fill that gap by transitioning Treaty Oak to organic production. We believe consumers deserve not only exceptional quality but also transparency and sustainability in what they drink. By aligning our production with organic standards, we’re positioning Treaty Oak to meet the demand for spirits that prioritize both taste and environmental responsibility.”

Founded in 2023, High Basin Brands is a national premium spirits supplier, acquirer and brand innovator focused on organic production and sustainable practices. They focus on “high-quality, eco-conscious” spirits. As part of this mission, High Basin plans to secure organic certification for Treaty Oak, which would make it the largest certified organic distillery in Texas. This move aligns with the company’s mission to produce premium spirits while adhering to sustainable practices.

High Basin’s first flagship product, Ghost Hill Organic Vodka, is set to launch in early 2025, marking the company’s entry into the growing premium organic spirits category. With the market for consciously produced beverages projected to reach $138 billion by 2028, HBB aims to meet consumer demand for sustainability and purity. The rollout will be supported by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, a leading beverage alcohol distributor. Through its extensive partner network, including grocery stores, big-box retailers, and hospitality groups, Southern Glazer’s will ensure Ghost Hill gains significant traction in the competitive spirits market.

High Basin Brands emphasizes sustainability at every stage of its production process. The company sources heirloom grains locally from Barton Springs Mill, one of Texas’ largest organic farms, to minimize carbon emissions and support local agriculture. HBB also plans to secure certifications for sustainable farming practices, reinforcing its dedication to environmental stewardship.

“Most industries are crowded with brands offering similar experiences,” CEO LaMont Herman said. “It’s the brands making bold moves, rooted in genuine values, that stand out and succeed. High Basin Brands is about more than products; it’s about purpose. We’re setting a new standard, and we’re proud to have the trust and support of investors who believe in this mission.”

High Basin Brands is helmed by a team of spirits industry veterans, including Steve Ousley, Kelly Smith, Jordan Rothschild-Noomé, Alex Fauveau, and business entrepreneur LaMont Herman. Together, they bring decades of expertise from leading brands like Beam Suntory, On the Rocks Cocktails, and other major players in the beverage industry. With this experienced team, an ambitious product roadmap, and a robust focus on sustainability, HBB is well-positioned to make a lasting impact on the premium organic spirits market.
