Milena Christopher, an attorney with The Law Office of Milena Christopher, P.C., has been selected as one of 40 individuals to serve as a 2024-25 nominating chair for the Texas Bar Foundation. Nominating chairs are chosen annually for the 17 State Bar of Texas districts based on outstanding professional achievements and a demonstrated commitment to the foundation. Christopher’s appointment reflects her dedication to the legal profession and her community.
Christopher founded her law office in Dripping Springs in 2003 after working as a prosecutor in the sex crimes and child abuse division in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She specializes in family law and probate, focusing on helping clients avoid future legal conflicts through proactive estate planning. Known for her compassionate approach, she advocates for collaborative law and mediation, particularly in family law cases involving children.
Christopher holds a master’s degree in psychology in addition to her law degree, enhancing her ability to support clients in highstress legal matters. Her firm has received several local honors, including “Best Attorney in Dripping Springs” and “Best Attorney for Collaborative Law in Hays County.” She was also recognized by the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center with the Chris Barbury Award for her years of service.
A longtime Dripping Springs resident, Christopher is active in the community, including founding the “Goat Couture” charity event, which raises funds for Future Farmers of America (FFA) programs at local high schools. She is also a speaker in the Hill Country, sharing her expertise with attorneys and community organizations.
Selection as a Texas Bar Foundation fellow is open only to State Bar of Texas members and requires election by the foundation’s Board of Trustees. Since 1965, the foundation has awarded more than $27 million in grants supporting justice-related programs statewide.
In 2023, the Texas Bar Foundation awarded grants to 17 nonprofit organizations in Central Texas totaling more than $247,000 and $1.67 million statewide. These beneficiaries provide nonprofit legal services, public advocacy, and other services that benefit the administration of justice in Texas.
