Dripping Springs high school will host the 2024 BEST Robotics Team Competition at Dripping Springs High School on Saturday, Nov. 9 in the competition gym located at 840 W. Hwy 290.
The all-day competition starts at 9 a.m.
Both Drippings Springs and Wimberley High Schools will be competing along with 15 other robotics teams as they test their robots in a competition game day on this year’s theme of Low G Outer Space.
The competition challenges these junior engineers to design and build a robot that can perform a task that simulates what robots on the moon would need to perform in order for colonization.
More than 200 students and their teachers will be competing for a chance to advance to the Texas BEST championship in Dallas on Dec. 4.
Admission to this event is free and the public is welcome to attend.
