It was a big game for both teams. Even though both teams will be heading for the playoffs in a couple of weeks, it is the biggest of rivalries for both teams. Lake Travis came into the contest following two subpar years for them and two consecutive losses to the Tigers. However, they showed up with a fully experienced team and plenty of talent, energy and motive to make it a long night for the Tigers. It was evident from the beginning, the Tigers were in trouble. The defense was a bunch of heat-seeking missiles for the ball.

The opening drive was a three and out for the Tigers with Maddox Maher having to run for his life most of the night. The Cavaliers methodically moved the ball 57 yards in 11 plays to open the scoring on a 4 pass. 7-0. The Tigers tried to put together a productive drive from the 25 but after two first downs, a sack, pressured passes and a bad snap, the Tigers were forced to punt it away. This time LT would only take four plays to go 58. The final was a burst up the middle by their RB and he would leave the Tigers in his wake for the final 47. 14-0 after one.

Another punt and Lake Travis was back in business. They would score on a 2 run. 21-0. The Tigers would put together another nice drive of 54 yards only to see it fall short at the LT 23. LT forced to punt and the Tigers would score on a play in which Maher was being forced to run when he spotted Jakob Rivas alone behind the secondary as they were coming to Maher. He hit Rivas and he hooked it to the endzone to complete the 53 play. Aidan Burgess toed the EP. Tiger defense made LT punt but it was muffed by the returner and LT took over at the 42. The QB scored from the nine with 21 seconds left in the half. 28-7.

In the second half LT would score on a 36 pass and the Tigers would checkmate it with a 2 run by Maher to make it 35-14 after three. LT would score twice more in the fourth and DS got back on the board when Mateo Perez was in at QB and broke loose on an option play and bolted 60 yards with 54 seconds remaining. Final 4921.

The Tigers will travel to Del Valle Friday to take on the Cardinals. After an off week, the Tigers will host Westlake in the final regular season game. Kickoffs are at 7:30.
