Eddie Durham Jazz Festival October 19 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The Calaboose African American History Museum is celebrating the musical contributions and legacy of San Marcos native, Eddie Durham, with a free concert. This year’s lineup includes: The Blues Revue, featuring New York Blues Hall of Famer, Michael Powers; Morris Nelms & The Calaboose Players; Indigo Soul featuring Sonia Love; Ace Pepper; The Jamie Krueger Group; Blue Mist; and big band sounds from the Texas State Jazz Ensemble. Uhland Fall Fest (formerly the Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival) debuts in a new location 25 miles south of Austin, Texas.

Experience 50+ fall-inspired games, activities, and attractions. A variety of fun zones, including our Pumpkin Patch, The Barnyard, Elm Hollow, Coyote Creek, Frontier Forest, Kinderville, Munchie Meadows, Outlaw Hollow, and our Trading Post. $20 admission.

Stargazing Night November 2 • 7 - 10 p.m.

The Hill Country Astronomers will host a night of stargazing on Nov. 2 at the LBJ National Historical Park from 7 - 10 p.m.

The group will have telescopes set up to give visitors a view not seen by many before. The event is free and open to the public.

Empty Bowl Project November 3 11 a.m. -3 p.m.

This annual family event benefits Dripping Springs Helping Hands to help feed the hungry and provide temporary financial aid for less fortunate members of our community.

For a donation of only $25 per person at the door, patrons can choose a beautiful, handcrafted ceramic bowl and fill it with delicious soups from local chefs. Live music, local beer & wine offerings.
