Many Tiger fans had in mind the Bowie game might be an easy win. Bowie's players had different thoughts about it. They took on the characteristics of their mascot, a dogged individual at best. They kept nipping at the heels of the Tigers playing tit for tat in scoring and in the end it would be a 38 yard field goal in the third quarter that would be the margin of victory in the 38-35 win.

The Tigers decided to call in the infantry for the first quarter as every play was a running play. Jack Tyndall and Jaceton Gotta took turns at moving chains with Gotta taking it in from the 22. Aidan Burgess again was perfect on the night. Bowie returned the favor with a 75 drive finished with a 14 pass. 7-7.

After the change of quarter, the Tigers decided to mix in the pass. Maddox Maher hit Cooper Reid on a 14 pass to go ahead 14-7. Bowie replied with a 6 QB run. 1414. Jack Tyndall put the Tigers ahead with a 5 run.. Did not hold up as Bowie scored on a 41 pass to regain the tie with 1.30 left in the half. Tigers would give back some change as Maher missed Reid on his first attempt but the second attempt was good for a 68 TD with 1.15 still showing on the clock.

On their second possession, the Tigers set foot from the 13 and ended up with their FG. 31-21. Bowie would answer immediately with a 72 pass. 28-31. A nice 28 PR by Gotta set Tigers up at the 25 and sealed the deal with a 23 pass to J. Tyndall in the corner of the end zone. The ten-point advantage lasted until the 2.30 mark when a 64 pass play got them to within three. The Tigers survived and needed a first down to run out the clock. They got it and that was that..

Friday night will be a mighty week with Lake Travis coming to Tiger Stadium. The Tigers have won the past two and are looking for three. Kickoff is at 7:30.
