Tigers clip after Eagles' wings 63-0

Tigers clip after Eagles' wings 63-0

It was a type of game that no one really wants to play. It was totally one-sided. The only people that want to endure it are the reserves because they know they will get to play a huge amount of time on the field. This is good because they all put in the same amount of toil and it usually means a small amount of talent keeps them off the field and they deserve the ultimate goal of seeing the field.

In the game with Austin Akins, it was obvious the Eagles were not equal. The Tigers would score the first eight possessions and 9 of 10. The Eagles did not garner a single first down and had only 24 yards rushing on the night.

Akins opted to kickoff and tried an onside kick. Bobby Wilkinson smothered the ball at the Tigers 49. Five plays later Jack Tyndall would scoot in from 16. Aidan Burgess tacked on the EP. It was 7-0 with 10.15 showing and the scoring fest was on. Maddox Maher tossed a six-yarder to Jacob Rivas to climax the 8-play, 63 drive. 14-0. Tyndall took charge of the 25 drive with a 2 run. 21-0 after one.

The scoring continued in the second quarter as liberal subbing started to begin. In a 2-play drive Maher ran for 17 and passed to Wilkinson for 7. 28-0. Next score was another Maher to Wilkinson pass for 29. Ian French EP. 35-0. The final score of the half was a pinpoint Maher to Cooper Reid 26 pass to make it 42-0.

Mateo Perez tossed a 26 pass to Will Foreman for the only score in the third. French kick. In the fourth Logan Keim hit Tristan Felder for four and the score. The final score came on a 59 burst from the legs of Lawson Attaway.
