Please join us for our amazing art markets this fall.
For the community and visitors, you can peruse local paintings and handcrafted ceramics, metal art, jewelry and more. Perhaps you’ll find that perfect piece for your home or unique gifts for the holidays while you enjoy local foods, beverages, and music too.
Creating in Solitude For local artists, the art markets present a great opportunity to connect with the community. There are literally hundreds of local artists right in our own neighborhoods.
Some have art at Dripping’s eye-popping galleries and elsewhere, but most are home studio artists who often have never shown their art beyond family and friends.
For many creatives, art can be a bit of a lonely endeavor, often tucked in a corner of the house surrounded by supplies, practicing and expanding their craft. Many often wonder if others would appreciate their art but aren’t sure how to bring their work to the people.
Sharing with the World
One of our artists was sparked to share their talents when a wise mentor suggested it was selfish not to, that others needed to appreciate the talent and uniqueness of their art.
At our art markets at Jester King Brewery earlier this year, over half of the 40 artists were firsttime marketers. Nervous and excited, they displayed samples of their work and awaited the crowds. As they day went on, amidst the hundreds of people browsing the booths, I heard chatting and laughter throughout the pole barn. The artists were thrilled to share their art, their inspiration, and their technique with the curious shoppers.
At the end of the day, artists were quite pleased with their sales, but more importantly their spirits were high, buoyed by the interaction and questions, and excited for the new homes for much of their creations. These connections provide such motivation for artists to continue to explore, create, and share.
As more artists revel in the experience, our members are seeking more art markets.
Thus, the Dripping Springs Art League is thrilled to partner with the City of Dripping Springs to bring Art Markets back to the Triangle at the intersection of US290 and RR12 for the first time in five years!
We will host dozens of local artists along with food and beverage vendors and local live music starting October 5, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and returning November 9 and December 14.
Artists will also return to Jester King Brewery on November 23 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Bring your kids, your friends, and your pets and enjoy a leisurely stroll, a snack and drink, foot-tapping music, and a wide variety of ceramics, jewelry, metal art, paintings and more ranging from $20 knickknacks to $500 showpieces!
