DSHS students earn College Board honors

This year, more than 40 Dripping Springs High School juniors and seniors have earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Program for their performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT™ 10, and/or AP Exams.

In 2023, Dripping Springs HS had more than 90 students who earned College Board honors.

A majority of DSHS students earned National Rural and Small Town Recognition, while students also received the National African American Recognition, the National First-Generation Recognition, the National Hispanic Recognition and the National Indigenous Recognition. Students can qualify for multiple recognition programs.

Below are the Dripping Springs HS students who are recognized for this year’s honors:

National Rural and Small Town Recognition David Adair Grace Alexander Kaden Beard Vegas Borrelli Kirby Brandon Dayton Daniel Kolby Dennison Isabel Derouen Hadden Evans Capri Fry Allison Gorchs Elodie Griffin Akshad Jha Kyle Kelly Elliott Kling Abir Kulkarni James Lamb Crispin Lovelace Fletcher Lovelace Alexa Miyamoto Stone Patterson Annie Reale Sloan Rodriguez Cooper Rummel Sahitya Sajjala Eben Sebastian Madeleine Sheppard Elijah Slater Kylie Spence Sanvi Surapaneni Kalle Thomas Deval Vazir Kamiily Visser Marshall Wyler These students qualified for this recognition by earning an GPA of 3.3 or higher; and scoring in the top 10 percent of PSAT/ NMSQT or PSAT 10 assessment takers in Texas or by earning a score of 3 or higher on 2 or more AP Exams by the end of 10th grade.

Students also received recognition in the categories of rural area or small town school attendance, or as identifying as: African American/Black; Hispanic American/ Latino; Indigenous/ Native American; or as a first-generation college-bound student.
