The Science Mill in Johnson City will begin its 2024-25 school program for homeschoolers on September 11.
The program is open to homeschoolers, homeschooling groups, learning pods, and students with asynchronous schedules, for children ages 5 to 17.
Science Mill homeschool days allow students and their guardians to explore STEM fields in depth through activity stations, exposure to STEM careers, and age-based Learning Labs led by Science Mill educators.
Learning Labs are divided by age groups (5 to 7, 8 to 10, 11 to 17). An optional in-depth STEM Scholar option is available for children ages 8 to 17.
A few slots remain for the Science Mill’s 2024-25 Homeschool Days, which are scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month, starting Sept. 11, through May, with January off.
The Science Mill, a non-profit museum that opened in 2015, offers innovative Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEM) programs and more than 50 interactive exhibits. The museum features new installations, events, and hands-on programs throughout the year.
Class sizes are limited, and pre-registration is required. The Homeschool Day School Year Package is available for $150 per child and accompanying adult. For more information on scheduling, programs, pricing, and registration, visit sciencemill. org.
