Christmas on Mercer Set for Dec. 7

Christmas on Mercer Set for Dec. 7

Christmas on Mercer, one of Dripping Springs’ most beloved traditions, will celebrate its 20th year on Dec. 7. New this year is a new logo and a new tree.

Hosted by the Dripping Springs Lions Club and the City of Dripping Springs, the downtown festival will feature an old-fashioned holiday celebration on Mercer Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will include live music and entertainment, arts and crafts booths, children’s activities, and photos with Santa Claus.

There will also be a festive selection of food and drinks.

This year’s festivities kick off with the annual Lighting of the Tree, on Saturday November 30 at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Dripping Springs. The Lions Club and the City of Dripping Springs will unveil a new tree during the event. The tree will be lit at dusk.

In celebration of its 20th year, Christmas on Mercer has introduced a vibrant and whimsical new logo. This rebranding reflects the event’s continued commitment to bringing holiday spirit to the Dripping Springs community, marking a significant milestone as it prepares for its most magical season yet.

Vendors interested in participating in the one-day festival can find an application at christmasonmercer. com. Booths are available for $120 for a 10x10 space. The deadline for vendor applications is Oct. 7.

The festival relies heavily on community sponsorships to keep the event free to the public. Sponsorships are available at various levels of support, with all funds raised going toward the event or being reinvested in the community through various Lions Club programs.

“We invite potential sponsors to join us in making this year’s celebration the most memorable yet,” said Sharon Goss of the Lions Club. “The rebranding provides a unique chance to engage with our audience and showcase your support for this cherished community event.”

The sponsorship application form can be found at cityofdrippingsprings. com or christmasonmercer. com. Sponsorship forms should be submitted soon to receive maximum publicity. For specific questions, contact the Lions Club at dslionsclub@gmail. com.
