Dripping Springs High School sports kicks off Fall season

Team Tennis Season Underway The 2024 season for the Dripping Springs team tennis program has begun. Team tennis has a little different format than the specialty of spring tennis. In this sport it is all about the team element. Players play their matches and their result goes to the team total. The team that gets to ten wins first wins the game. Normally when the ten is attained all action is stopped but prior to the district tourney everyone will get to play their matches for the experience. Also, in team tennis, a player can play in more than one event.

The team competes in the always solid District 26-6A. The first match of the year was with Lake Travis, another strong program. In a very spirited day of play the Tigers fell in a 10-9 decision.

Results: Boys singles: Wes Anderson lost 5-8; Wyatt Clark won 8-6; Grover Bendall L2-8; Gray Pickens W8-0; Dayton Daniel W8-1; Isaiah Jackson W8-1; Axel Skinner W8-2.

Girls singles: Mia Pleasant L1-8; Isadora Barnes L8-6; Addie Clark L3-8; Maggie Menard W8-3; Olivia Eggleston W8-3; Vivian Kelly L7-8.

Boys doubles: Anderson/ Clark W8-0; Bendall/Pickens W81; Jackson/Daniel W81; Sebastian Zeinoun/ Chase Solberg W8-1.

Girls doubles: Pleasant/ Barnes L3-8; Clark/Menard L7-8; Kelly/Eggleston L2-8; Bella Rose/Katy Evans W8-1.

Mixed Doubles: Julia Stankov/Milton Lynn W8-1.
