Dripping Springs high baseball player selected to USA National 18U team

Cooper Rummel, a stand-out pitcher for the Dripping Springs HS Tigers baseball team has been selected to the 2024 Team USA 18U roster.

Rummel was selected to the 18 and under (18U) Team USA baseball team in July. He and the team will play in the World Baseball Softball Confederation Baseball World Cup Americas qualifying tournament Aug. 2-11 in Panama City, Panama.

Rummel made the final cut after participating in the national team’s training camp July 17-21 at the USA Baseball’s headquarters in Cary, North Carolina.

Rummel will have a busy summer. He was also selected as a Perfect Game All-American. He will play for the East team in the Perfect Game All-American game on August 18 at Chase Field in Phoenix.

Rummel is a righthanded pitcher and is a verbal commitment to enroll at the University of Texas where he will play for the Longhorns baseball team.
