Dripping Springs ISD seeks full-time art teacher The Dripping Springs ISD is urgently seeking a full-time art teacher for Dripping Springs Elementary School for the fall semester, which begins August 13. For more information and to apply, visit dsisdtx.tedk12. com/hire.

Apogee Dripping Springs Micro-High School looking to collaborate with local artists for its art instruction program The Dripping Springs Art League (DSAL) is excited to share a wonderful opportunity for local artists. Apogee Micro- High Schools is opening its new Dripping Springs campus this fall. They provide a unique secular program for approximately 14 high school-aged students housed at the Dripping Springs Presbyterian Church.

Apogee offers a variety of classes on campus and may shuttle students to other facilities in the area for PE, science, and art classes. They are interested in collaborating with local artists to provide a series of art classes for students, preferably at the artist’s studio, either this fall or spring. Apogee is happy to discuss payment for supplies and the teacher’s time. If you are interested in this opportunity, visit apogeedrippingsprings. com or contact their headmaster and teacher, Sarah Pevehouse, at apogeedrippingsprings. com/contact.

DSAL art classes at the library

The Dripping Springs Art League (DSAL) is partnering with the Dripping Springs Community Library (DSCL) to offer a 90-minute art class once per month after school (starting at 4:45 p.m.) for high schoolaged students. Students from any Dripping Springs high school, public or private, including homeschoolers, are welcome.

The league is looking for art instructors in a variety of mediums and techniques. Teachers may choose to teach one or more classes. Each class can be different and is at the discretion of the teacher and participants. Subjects could include acrylics, watercolors, fiber arts, clay, jewelry making, careers in the arts, and more. Classes will run through this school year, starting in September though May 2025. The program may be extended to the summer, depending on interest. Class dates may be flexible. This is a volunteer position, with supplies provided/paid by either DSAL or DSCL. If you would like to learn more or discuss opportunities, please contact Steve Friedman at [email protected].
