Pride of Dripping Springs, a community- led nonprofit, will hold its annual LGBTQ+ Pride festival this Saturday, June 22.
The festival, held at the Dripping Springs Ranch Park and Event Center, takes place the last Saturday of June in celebration of June as National LGBTQ+ Pride Month. The free event is split into two segments, the first of which is a familyfriendly festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The family-friendly festival features a variety of games and activities for children, teens and families, as well as vendor booths for all ages. Additional features include drag storytime, live music, aerial, circus and drag performances.
The second segment is designed for ages 18 and up, a part of the festival Pride of DS has described as “Pride After Dark.” This portion of the festival, which runs from 7 p.m. to midnight, features a DJ and drag show. This year’s show, hosted by Miss Malicious, features Emma D'Lemma, Selma Bawdy, Buck Wylde, ay Lola ící Ba-Ickymuffin, Lad) LesStrange anc sura. Tickets are $25.
Both segments offer food and drinks for purchase.
In addition to raising money for health and wellness resources, proceeds from the event will help fund future events and scholarships from Pride of DS.
