The 21st Annual Texas Masters of Fine Art and Craft Invitational Show will be held Friday, May 24, through Sunday, May 26, as two dozen of the finest artists in Texas fill the ballrooms of the YO Ranch Hotel in Kerrville with their award-winning artwork.
Patricia Day, a master hand weaver from Dripping Springs, has been invited to display the vibrantly colored woven garments and home furnishings that she creates from natural fibers and personally hand-dyed yarn. Patricia has been practicing her craft since the early 1970’s and her work is highly regarded by the Texas hand weaving community.
According to Dan Baker, who along with his wife, Linda, organizes the annual event, “This year we’ll have tremendous artists and craftspeople representing almost every artistic category. The displayed work will include pen and ink drawing, oil painting, ceramics, weaving, photography, art glass, watercolors, pastels, mixed media, gourd art, jewelry, contemporary copper sculpture, furniture building and Westernstyle bronze sculpture. Anyone who visits the show hoping to find exciting artwork will not be disappointed, as each of the participating artists is a master of their chosen medium.”
The YO Ranch Hotel is located at 2033 Sidney Baker on the southwest corner of Sidney Baker and Hwy 534. The show hours will be Friday, 10 a.m. -7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is free.
