The latest Dripping Springs High School girls basketball game didn’t go quite according to plan, ending in a loss to Austin High School.
A slow scoring start in the first quarter doomed the Lady Tigers to the 46-27 defeat, which opened the second half of play. Dripping Springs trailed 18-3 after the first quarter, but they stayed on even terms after that. As has been the trend all year, the Lady Tigers played hard the entire game, with a strong defense and good ball control. They chose the correct shots to take but had little touch on the ball with little chance to go in.
The score was 1326 at halftime. They would slip a little in the third quarter with the score 38-21. Scoring for the Lady Tigers were Rain Collins (9), Kenlea Hardin (6), Chloe Vaughn (5), Bailey Rogers (4) and Ella Beatty (3).
