Lady Tigers bump two more district foes

The Dripping Springs High School volleyball team raised their record to 36-2, 6-0 with two tough wins over Westlake and Austin High Schools.

The Dripping Springs High School volleyball team raised their record to 36-2, 6-0 with two tough wins over Westlake and Austin High Schools.

The Westlake game was likely the best regulation game played all year as the Lady Tigers downed the Lady Chaps in five sets — one notable example of the many times over the years they have escaped seemingly impossible odds to win. The Lady Tigers found themselves down 2-1 and forced a fifth set. They were down set, match point at 14-11 before making five straight points for the win.

The shame in this district is that three teams are capable of getting to state, yet only one will be there in October.
