For a second time, the Sycamore Springs Middle School PTA has earned a National PTA School of Excellence distinction.
The designation, which is for a two-year period, comes following a process that included family and staff surveys, an action plan to improve the family- school partnership and a final application. Only 369 PTAs and schools nationwide have been designated 2022—2024 Schools of Excellence.
National PTA School of Excellence is a recognition program that supports and celebrates partnerships between local PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students. By enrolling in this program, the PTA and school administrators make a year-long commitment in identifying and implementing an action plan for school improvement. Through the School of Excellence program, PTAs and families become key partners in decisionmaking and school improvement efforts.
Sycamore Springs Middle School was previously recognized as a National PTA School Excellence in 2020. Rooster Springs Elementary has twice earned the distinction (2019— 2021, 2021-2023) and Cypress Springs Elementary (2021-2023) and Dripping Springs Elementary (2020-2022) have earned the honor once.
