Since the Dripping Springs High School cross country program spends part of their time at the state tournament, they like to get acquainted with possible opponents.
This time, the team took a road trip to Denton to take part in the big Marcus Coach T Invitational held at North Lakes Park. This allowed them to compete with some of the elite programs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Dripping Springs competed in the Elite and Open varsity divisions. The varsity girls finished ninth in the Elite division but did not enter enough to have a team score in the Open division. In the Elite boys, the team finished 28th, while the Open boys finished 23rd.
