The Dripping Springs High School Lady Tigers saw their 20-game winning streak broken only to start up another one.
They took care of their first district match with Del Valle High School before taking off to Leander for Rouse High School’s tournament. This provided more tough competition before allowing the team to settle in for its remaining district schedule.
Del Valle proved to be a small obstacle as the Lady Tigers easily won the game with three 2510 scores.
Tournament play has been very consistent for the Lady Tigers this year as they have shut out most opponents, with very few lost matches. Sure enough, on the first day of the Rouse tournament, the team saw three 2-0 wins over Waco’s Midway, Montgomery’s Lake Creek and Round Rock High Schools.
The next day, DSHS wins included a 2-0 game against League City’s Clear Springs High School, 2-0 against Pearland’s Dawson High School and 2-1 against Rouse. On championship day, their new streak was broken by Spring’s Grand Oaks High School, 0-2, but the Lady Tigers quickly started a new one by defeating Houston’s Cypress Ranch High School 2-0.
Dripping Springs presently has a 29-2 record and will get to compete in regulation matches the rest of the way.
