Histeppers Dazzle

Dance competition season is in full force throughout the country, and the Dripping Springs High School Histeppers and Dazzlers dance teams are right in the midst of it.

For the first time in history, the Dripping Springs High School dance teams will be hosting a dance and drill team competition Saturday, February 26. The high school is partnering with Crowd Pleasers Dance, an organization that plans and manages dance competitions as well as team camps and conventions at various locations throughout the state of Texas. Attending this contest are 25 other Texas high school varsity and junior varsity dance teams.

The planning process began last November to prepare for this event, with the help of the Histepper and Dazzler Booster Club and parents. Hosting the contest will raise money towards team costumes, camps and competitions for the next season. The event will offer concessions throughout the day, as well as various vendors located in the school. It is open to the public and doors open at 8 a.m.

Following the home performance, the final competition of the season will be held in Galveston on March 5.
