Representative Chip Roy (R-TX-21) presented the Exceptional Senior Award to 42 high school students across Texas’ 21st Congressional district.
ESA winners are selected for consistently displaying high levels of character, leadership, integrity and diligence, according to a statement put out by the representative’s office. These are judged according to students’ philanthropic activities, academic success and reputations among peers and teachers.
Rep. Roy said, “I am proud of all that the incredible young men and women of Texas’ 21st Congressional District have achieved. Texans have reason to be optimistic about our great state’s destiny with them as our future leaders.”
