Panda Express, the largest Asian dining concept in the US, celebrated the grand opening of its newest location in Dripping Springs last week with a ribbon cutting, sponsored by the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce.
The ribbon cutting on Wednesday, May 10 was attended by more than 100 employees and community members, including Panda’s co-CEO Peggy Cherng, Dripping Springs Mayor Bill Foulds and Dripping Springs ISD Board President Mary Jane Hetrick. Located at 12680 W US Highway 290 (at Ledge Stone Drive), the new Panda Express location offers all of Panda’s iconic American Chinese dishes, including its Original Orange Chicken, awardwinning Honey Walnut Shrimp and Broccoli Beef entrée. Local store hours are 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., daily. The drivethru is open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., daily.
This new location also marks the debut of a new store design for the restaurant. The new model, known as Panda Home, incorporates design elements inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and traditions that tell the story of Panda Express.
Panda aims to uplift the local communities it serves. A first of its kind, this new location features the first Panda Sculpture, featuring custom artwork by local Asian American artist Steffi Lynn to highlight the rich culture and beautiful landscape of the surrounding Austin area.
