The Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library is once again hosting its annual fundraiser: the 11th edition of Pouring Over Books.
Founded in 1983, The Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library is a nonprofit, volunteer organization with the mission to raise funds and build support for the Dripping Springs library. This year’s fundraiser features a selection of craft beers, wines, fine teas and tasty bites, along with live music, a silent auction, and a discussion and meet-and-greet with Texas author, Sarah Bird. The event is scheduled to take place at the Pros pect House in Dripping Springs on Sunday, Feb. 27 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. A livestream option will also be available.
Pouring Over Books is the Friends’ primary fundraiser to help the community library serve its 11,000 active members. Funds raised by The Friends at past events have been allocated to many offerings and resources of the library, including children’s programs, Little Reading Buddies Program, early learning software, Summer Jazz Concerts on the Porch, Battle of the Books and virtual cartooning events.
Tickets are $50 per person. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit fodscl.org/ events.
