A school-record eight Dripping Springs High School seniors have been named National Merit Finalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

A school-record eight Dripping Springs High School seniors have been named National Merit Finalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors are recognized with this prestigious honor. DSHS students earning this recognition are Teresa Brod, Evelyn Chis, Michael Goertz, Bailey Inglish, Maxwell Ingram, Shaun Kurian, Nicholas Misko and Kinsey Silcox.

Of the 16,000 students who were named Semifinalists in September, approximately 15,000 were selected as Finalists after recording the highest scores on the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Throughout the spring and summer, roughly half of the Finalists will be notified that they have been selected to receive a Merit Scholarship award
