Madi Telschow Editor The annual Dripping Springs Brewers Festival returned to the city for a second time this past weekend, featuring 14 local brewers from Dripping Springs and around the Hill Country.
The outdoor event on March 25 was held on Old Fitzhugh Road in downtown Dripping Springs with drink, food and dessert vendors all represented under their own respective tents. This year’s festival offered participants the opportunity to select tastings from all 14 brewers with over 35 drink options. Additional highlights included live music and a keepsake beer mug.
As in 2022, the 2023 festival required advance purchase of a wristband with two tasting options available: VIP tickets with unlimited tastings or general admission tickets with eight tastings. VIP ticket holders were also let in early to the event, which was open to all from 1 to 5 p.m. In total, this year’s event saw 275 VIP patrons and 257 general admission ticket holders — a doubling of last year’s numbers, according to Pam Owens, president and CEO of Destination Dripping Springs.
This year’s Brewers Festival featured 12 Fox Beer Company, Acopon Brewing, Beerburg Brewing, Bell Springs Brewing, Family Business Beer Company, Fitzhugh Brewing, Ghost Note Brewing, Jester King Brewery, Suds Monkey Brewery, Twisted X Brewing and Vista Brewing — as well invited brewers from Wimberley, Johnson City, Blanco and Marble Falls.
The Brewers Festival is managed by the Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The mission of the Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau is to promote tourism and serve as ambassadors to connect visitors-guests and the community. The visitors bureau is marketed under Destination Dripping Springs. For more, visit destinationdrippingsprings. com.
